According to the posting, duties for the Division Chief include:
- Serves as first-level supervisor, technical authority, and advisor to second-level supervisor. Plans and directs division activities, ensuring that operational deliveries and processes comply with applicable requirements and meet customer needs.
- Represents JWAC at meetings, conferences and trainings in order to keep abreast of issues impacting organization. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships within JWAC and external organizations and customers.
- Prepares and presents reports and briefings on status of work unit’s initiatives and/or recommends action to key internal and/or external elements. Ensures project plans and objectives are on target and resolves technical or administrative issues.
- Provides technical direction to identify, coordinate and prioritize requirements for the development of new and/or improved methods and tools to advance data analytics and computer scientific methods and capabilities, as appropriate.
