The U.S. Army Headquarters Department of Army (HQDA) is searching for a Sr. Project Manager to serve as a Data Steward, according to a job posting on USAJobs.gov.
The Data Steward will join the HQDA, G-3/5/7, Directorate of Strategic Operations (DAMO-SO) in support of the Warfighting Mission Area. DAMO-SO serves as the HQDA G-3-5/7 lead for operationalizing Information Advantage by synchronizing and integrating Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) to the Warfighter through prioritized resourcing, innovative planning, and forward-thinking governance, enabling Decision Dominance at speed and scale in competition and conflict.
According to the posting, duties for the Data Steward include:
- Develop requirements-based capabilities, focusing on the creation and maintenance of authoritative datasets by ensuring proper alignment of administrative data within authoritative defense systems.
- Review higher authority directives that require management decision and provide detailed analysis that supports senior leader decisions.
- Consult with mission area leadership/subject matter experts to collect, collate, analyze program /operations data.
- Provide oversight to a subordinate staff concerning Data within the Warfighting Mission area and Civilian Harm Mitigation and Response (CHMR) objectives, business system integration, and data/digital transformation.
