According to the job posting, responsibilities for the Data Scientist include:
- Serve as the technical expert concerning data standards, engineering, needs, plans, situations, and problems throughout the full spectrum of iterative project or study life cycle.
- Serve as the Senior Data Scientist in the Data Integration Directorate, Strategic Systems Support Element (SSSE).
- Recommend ongoing improvements to scientific methods and algorithms that lead to findings.
- Develop processes regarding the capture, retention, and analysis of data, tracks metrics and trends.
- Work alongside directorate leadership, scientists, and developers, and suggests other methodologies and products of interest which may meet project objectives or improve project outcomes.
- Participate in meetings, conferences, briefings, and seminars related to data science planning, technologies, and support system concepts.
