According to the posting, duties for the Data Scientist include:
- Provide specialized expertise in computer science, computer system architecture, deployment of complex information systems machine learning (artificial) intelligence, and data management across the data lifecycle to enable core missions of public health to detect and monitor, investigate and respond, and inform and disseminate.
- Assure that public health information systems comply with all mandated requirements, including information systems security, reporting, and open data requirements.
- Manage the development of high-speed computing systems and real-time data acquisition systems using a knowledge models of computation performances measures.
- Consult and advise on new information technologies to CDC organizations throughout the enterprise and CDC public health partners working on systems and information technologies that need to exchange data with CDC and/ or interoperate..
