The Department of Defense, Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) is searching for a Data Scientist, according to a job posting on USAJobs.gov.
DCSA’s Program Executive Office (PEO) is looking for a Data Scientist (Data Architect/Data Engineer/ AI/ML Specialist) to serve as a technical specialist and advisor to high-ranking government officials and senior supplier personnel.
According to the posting, duties for the Data Scientist include:
- Provides subject matter expertise to organization designing, developing, and maintaining secure cloud-based system architectures.
- Applies advanced knowledge of the enterprise information technology (IT) architectural concepts and patterns to include baseline and target architectures.
- Conducts enterprise architecture reviews, evaluates the maturity level of NBIS enterprise architecture and measures progress toward published goals. Develops information technology (IT) rules and requirements that describe baseline and target architectures.
- Performs professional work in data science, intelligence, artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML), system analysis, risk analysis, predictive analysis and computer simulation.
- Directs and coordinates specific data mining, analysis, modeling, development of mathematical algorithms and computer program design activities with government agencies, and/or coalition partners.
- Applies analytic methods such as regression, decision tree and statistical probability to improve data reliability and quality.
