The IRS Office of Online Services (OLS) has posted a job opening for a Supervisory Data Scientist (MSP) on USAJobs.gov. The role is open to IRS Career/Career-Conditional, Treasury/IRS CTAP, & IRS RPP employees.
According to the posting, the duties for this role include:
- Supervise and coordinate the analytics roadmap and plans the development and implementation of several major programs or projects that may cross branch and/or division lines of responsibility.
- Lead and mentor OLS data and analytics employees for optimized performance and best outcomes based on tangible results and calculated key performance indicators of success.
- Drives team-member training and performance management that increases the OLS analytics team’s capability dedicated to solving complex business problems with more advanced capability to lift the performance of OLS and the IRS against its vision and mission.
- Provide a product-centric to customer-centric orientation to data-driven decision-making that moves OLS and the IRS forward with data governance, analytics and data as a self-service, advanced analytical methods, and an analytics life-cycle platform approach to reporting, predictive and prescriptive data, analytics, machine learning and AI.
