The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) is searching for a Data Scientist, according to a job posting on USAJobs.gov.
The mission of the ODNI CIO is to lead digital transformation of the ODNI to modernize management, interoperability, sharing, and safeguarding of information and data within the ODNI enterprise and between the ODNI and its external national security partners so that it gets to the right people at the right time in the right form.
According to the posting, duties for the Data Scientist include:
- Engage with customers to understand and participate changing needs and requirements; anticipate substantive questions.
- Offer recommendations for resolution based on quantitative analysis.
- Maintain Data Science Community of Practice and sub working groups to facilitate collaboration and knowledge exchange between data scientists within ODNI.
- Based on Data Management Analysts’ findings, work with DCOs to identify projects to enhance their data analysis capabilities.
- Establish pilot programs with multiple DCOs to leveraging data science best practices.
