The U.S. Space Command (USSPACECOM) is searching for a Supervisory Data Scientist, according to a job posting on USAJobs.gov.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Branch Chief providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over supervisory and non-supervisory employees assigned to HQ USSPACECOM, Command, Control, Communications, and Computer Systems (C4) & Cyber Directorate (J6).

- Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time.
- Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the organization.
- Directs, manages, and leads pioneering efforts in developing advanced theories, innovative applications, new scientific principles, and solution options (ex., material, non-material, and policy alternatives) for C4 shortfalls.
- Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships.
- Serves as Action Officer.
