The U.S. Space Force is searching for a Program Manager for its Cross Mission Data Branch, according to a job posting on USAJobs.gov.
The Cross Mission Data Branch is home to the Space Force’s most fundamental and largest weapon system – Data! – and is tasked with building the foundational Enterprise Data ecosystem to securely store, secure, and expose data at the speed of relevance.
According to the posting, duties for the Program Manager include:
- Collaborating with senior DAF and USSF Leaders in all Data Offices and Technical Integrations Offices, as well as coordination with all DoD and inter-government data offices for data-focused concerns and goals.
- Working with Contractors, Chief Engineer, and Materiel Leader to develop future data formats, translations, and integration architecture.
- Develop and oversee computational algorithms and statistical methods that find patterns and relationships in large volumes of data sourced from advanced hardware and software.
- Design and oversee data modeling processes, create algorithms and predictive models to extract data.
