The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Rural Development, is searching for a Program Analyst with expertise in Data Analytics, according to a job posting on USAJobs.gov.

This position will be located in the USDA, Rural Development (RD), Innovation Center (IC), Data Analytics Division. The new hire will serve as a senior Program Analyst (Data Analytics) and advisor to leadership in leading and coordinating the efforts of other professionals and contractors in solving complex and far-reaching data management issues and problems for a wide range of administrative support systems and customers.

  • Interprets results of data analysis into clear, actionable communications that equip RD decision makers to make informed, data-driven decisions to determine impact on program operations and work methods.
  • Employs a wide range of data analytical skills, leveraging quantitative and qualitative methodologies to responds to high priority internal and external information requests.
  • Conducts observational analyses using software such as Tableau to explore/group data, predict outcomes, and inform decisions. Derives meaning from large and complex data.
  • Translates complex concepts, findings, and limitations into concise, plain language.
