This position is located in the U.S. Army Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command. The Data Scientist will advise the SES Director as Chief Analytics Officer (CAO) on DoD Data, Analytics, and AI Adoption Strategy, and relevant national policies, guiding application to SDDC, JDPAC, USTRANSCOM, COCOM, and DoD missions.

  • Lead the development and implementation of data science and advanced analytics capabilities to support key decisions and operations.
  • Supervise and manage a multi-disciplinary team of data scientists, computer scientists, operations research analysts, engineers, and information systems specialists.
  • Serve as the senior technical expert on data science methodologies, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data visualization techniques.
  • Design and conduct complex research and developmental assessments using advanced scientific, statistical, and predictive techniques.
  • Develop roadmaps, strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency in data sourcing and analytics application.
  • Plan, organize, and execute strategic data analytic services to support DoD missions.
