Caroline Kuharske
Caroline Kuharske is the Acting Director for the Office of the Chief Data Officer at the Defense Information Services Agency (DISA). DISA’s OCDO is aligned under the Enterprise Integration and Innovation Center.
As the Acting CDO, Kuharske focuses on creating a culture that embraces a robust programmatic approach to data management. In her role, she identifies, prioritizes, and executes data and analytic initiatives that are aligned to DISA’s enterprise strategies and business outcomes.
Prior to this role, Kuharske was DISA’s Deputy, Chief Data Officer. She led DISA in the direction of using data as a true asset for actionable decision making throughout the enterprise. Her skills brought teams together for a common goal and quickly propelled DISA to expand the utilization and governance of data across the organization.
Kuharske also previously served as a strategic planner for DISA Operations Center Service Directorate, providing leadership guidance to achieve directorate goals for efficiency and standardization. The service directorate provides mission services such as telecommunications, computing, cyber operations and mission assurance, and other capabilities to support the military services, defense agencies, intelligence community, and joint and coalition warfighters worldwide. Her actions as a strategic planner led to a 40% efficiency increase across business operations with a 15% spending reduction.
