Robert King

Robert King is the Chief Data Officer at the Department of Energy. He is an accomplished and driven change agent with extensive cross-functional executive integration experience and a passion for aligning and leading people, policy, and technology maturation to achieve targeted data and analytics objectives.

Prior to his current appointment in June 2023, King served for nearly 3 years as Chief Data Officer and Associate Commissioner Office of Analytics & Improvement at the Social Security Administration.

King previously served in several roles during 10 years with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) including the Director of the Systems and Information Integration Office. Earlier in his career, he worked as an Enterprise Architect with the Oracle Systems Practice at BearingPoint and was a Senior Supervisor at CACI International supporting the Department of Justice’s Tobacco Litigation Team.
