Sloane Bailey is the Senior Data Strategist for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, working in the Chief Data Officer Staff (CDOS). In collaboration with the CDO, Bailey oversees the vision, design, and development of the FDIC’s enterprise data strategy, fostering a data-driven culture to help the FDIC manage and govern data as an enterprise resource.  Her team is responsible for meeting Federal Data Strategy requirements and for providing project management, data governance, and data management support.

Bailey joined the FDIC in 2019 after supporting the U.S. Armed Forces for nearly a decade. She served as the Director of Strategy in the Office of CDO and was previously Chief, Enterprise Architecture Division for the U.S. Air Force. She also was the Chief Business Architect for the U.S. Marine Corps. Earlier she worked in various roles in Enterprise Architecture, Program Management, and Systems Engineering for private-sector firms including Kforce Government Solutions, Merlin International, Amyx, MITRE, Nextel, Teligent, and ATPCO.

Bailey earned her Master of Science in Government Information Leadership from the National Defense University. She also earned a BA degree in Mathematics from Wells College.
