Former NASA CDO Ron Thompson Receives EDGE23@CES Government Technology Leadership Award

Ron Thompson, who served as NASA’s first CDO until his retirement in 2022, received the EDGE23@CES Government Technology Leadership Award.  The award was presented by the Government Business Executive Forum (GBEF) for the application of information technologies to improve the government.

Thompson previously served the U.S. government in leadership roles at the Census Bureau, Treasury, Internal Revenue Service, and Health and Human Services. He was also the Principal Deputy CIO at the VA and was CIO at USDA.

The GBEF is a network of experienced professionals who specialize in innovative technology applications to vital government missions. EDGE23@CES positions itself as the premier annual summit connecting vital government missions and the technologies that drive them.
