HHS Chief Data Officer Nick Ipiotis Tapped as CIO at ARPA-H
Nikolaos “Nick” Ipiotis, who has served as Chief Data Officer at the Department of Health and Human Services for more than 2 years, has been named the new Chief Information Officer for the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), as first noticed by OrangeSlices.ai. He will join ARPA-H’s leadership team that includes current CDO Nilu Kundagrami.
ARPA-H is a research funding agency that supports transformative biomedical and health breakthroughs – ranging from the molecular to the societal – to provide health solutions for all.
Prior to joining the HHS Office of the CIO, Nikolaos served the NIH Center of Information Technology (CIT) as a service area manager for Hosting and Storage Services, managing multiple systems for various HHS business units and other government agencies. Before joining the federal service, he worked as a management consultant in a variety of federal government and private sector organizations including the Presidential Transition Team for the General Services Administration (GSA), Center for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and the Department of Treasury and Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB).
