CDC Awards a $35M task to Fearless Solutions for Enterprise Data Exchange (DEX) Support
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention awarded a $35 million, 3-year contract to Fearless Solutions, Inc. to support the agency’s Enterprise Data Exchange (DEX) Customer Experience initiative.
According to CDC’s information on GitHub, the DEX is a new cloud-native centralized data ingestion, validation, and observation service scoped for common data types (HL7, FHIR, CDA, XML, CSV) typically sent to the CDC. DEX helps public health stakeholders who send data to the CDC while reducing the maintenance efforts, complexity, and duplication of ingestion points to CDC.
The time-and-materials task order was awarded on the CDC’s Pandemic Ready Interoperability Modernization Effort (PRIME) and Data Modernization Initiative (DMI) BPA. Fearless Solutions beat out 4 other offerors to receive this full-and-open procurement.
