USPTO Awards $14M Continuous Data Conversion Contract

The Department of Commerce U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has awarded to VASTEC, Inc. a $14M, 5-year contract to provide continuous data conversion of various document types to the XML4IP format.  XML4IP is an international document information standard overseen by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) for patent application data.

The contract was awarded as a small business set-aside on the GSA MAS Contract vehicle after a procurement that received four total bids.  The procurement record can be viewed on FPDS-NG.
