The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is searching for a Data Scientist, according to a job posting on USAJobs.gov.
This position is located in the CMS Center for Program Integrity (CPI), Data Analytics & Systems Group (DASG), Division of Modeling & Analytics (DMA). The Data Scientist will be responsible for using analytical tools and technical information over a broad range of programs that support the CPI.
According to the posting, duties for the Data Scientist include:
- Work with leadership to create a plan to increase the advanced analytics, data science, and programming skills across the CPI analytics community.
- Articulate and implement best practices for data usage and analytic techniques.
- Use rigorous experimentation and rapid prototyping to develop new techniques and novel applications of trusted techniques to tough analytic problems
- Establish and maintain relationships with academic programs and other organizations dedicated to advancing analytics, ML, and AI.
- Serve as part of an enterprise-wide team to promote the use and understanding of advanced analytics.
