The Environmental Protection Agency is searching for a Director of the Center for Computational Toxicology and Exposure (CCTE), Scientific Computing and Data Curation Division (SCDCD), according to a job posting on USAJobs.gov. This position, located in Durham, NC, is in the EPA Office of Research and Development (ORD)
According to the posting, the Director of the SCDCD will oversee the development of the information architecture necessary for integrating, transforming, and managing large-scale data streams related to assessing the risk of chemicals and ecological integrity. The Director oversees the development and management of software applications and decision-support workflows that visualize, analyze, and integrate complex data sources related to chemical safety and freshwater ecology.
The Director also oversees the extraction, curation, and quality control of chemical and ecological data from structured and unstructured sources for use in Center research. Finally, the Director works closely with ORD’s Office of Science and Information Management (OSIM) on the implementation and deployment of software applications and tools for internal and external stakeholder utilization.
