According to the posting, duties for the IT Specialist in Data Management include:

  • Develop and implement standards, policies, and procedures to ensure appropriate enterprise use of geospatial data, tools and technology, and to facilitate access to needed data and information resources.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to the OIM Director, CIO and OMS Senior Leadership Team in matters regarding the EPA Geospatial Advisory Committee (EGAC) and Continuity of Operations Procedures (COOP).
  • Plan, organize, and direct the EPA National Geospatial Program in coordination with the Geospatial Information Office (GIO).
  • Establish partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to advocate and manage cross-organizational program and business process improvements which can be enabled and enhanced with geographic data and analysis.
