Bronson Armstrong is the Deputy Chief Data Officer at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), an agency of the Department of Defense and part of the U.S. Intelligence Community.

Armstrong is an accomplished national security and business expert. He served previously as the NRO’s Director, Corporate Secretariat, where he provided executive leadership for executing the agency’s Strategic Decision Framework. He also participated in development of the Federal Data Strategy while on detail to Office of Management and Budget.

Bronson served 24 years in the U. S. Navy as both a Naval Flight Officer in the P-3C Orion and an Aerospace Engineering Duty Officer, serving in his last post as Chief, Space and Ground Communications. After retiring from the Navy, Bronson spent over a decade at General Dynamics first as a Program Manager and later as Chief Engineer, Defense and Military Intelligence Sector.

Armstrong holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the U. S. Naval Academy and a Master of Science Degree from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School. He was a White House Leadership Development Program Fellow in 2020.
