Costi Tudan

Costi Tudan is the Deputy Chief Data Officer at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency within the Department of Homeland Security.

His duties in this role include establishing CISA’s data governance strategy and implementing an enterprise data catalog. He has developed a data stewardship approach and an enterprise conceptual data model for cybersecurity and infrastructure security. According to his LinkedIn profile, he has expertise in data architecture, data management, data governance, enterprise semantic integration, and conceptual data modeling.

Before joining CISA in 2018, he served for more than eight years at the DHS National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD) in roles including Cyber Data Analytics lead, Chief Enterprise Architect, and Data Management Lead. He previously held several Geographic Information Systems (GIS) roles the private sector for CH2M Hill, Northrop Grumman, EnSafe, supporting various DOD missions.

Tudan earned his Bachelor degree from Universitatea Tehnică de Construcții București (Bucharest, Romania) and his Master degree in GIS from the University of Memphis.
