Amy Ritualo

Amy Ritualo is the Acting Chief Data and Artificial Intelligence Officer (CDAIO) at the U.S. Department of State. She previously served as State’s Deputy CDAIO and was the Statistical Official on the agency’s Enterprise Data Council. As the CDAIO, Ritualo is responsible for making data accessible, interoperable, and actionable across the Department of State. 

Ritualo has a long U.S. government career. Before joining the Department of State, she served as Deputy Chief, Office of Performance and Quality at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. She also was a Division Chief at the U.S Department of Homeland Security. She led Monitoring and Evaluation services first at Department of Labor and then at the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service. She was a data analyst at the International Labour Organization in Switzerland and a research associate at the Annie E. Casey Foundation.

Ritualo earned a Master’s degree in Demography from Georgetown University and a B.S. in Sociology from Western Washington University.
