Donna Cotton
Donna Cotton has served as the Chief Data Officer for the SEEK EAGLE Office (AFSEO) in the Department of the Air Force since 2018.
The AFSEO delivers war-winning capability by efficiently evaluating the integration of state-of-the-art weapons on current and future generation aircraft and providing accurate combat weapon delivery software. AFSEO employs digital modeling, simulation, and analysis, as well as ground and flight tests to obtain the data needed to verify safe and acceptable aircraft-store compatibility. They also maintain historical data on thousands of compatibility actions for use to clear new configurations by analogy, as well as mass and physical measurement with a computerized library of over 1,500 stores.
Cotton previously served as the Lead Senior Computer Scientist in the SEEK EAGLE Office at Eglin AFB and prior was in the same role for the Air Force’s 46th Range Control Squadron (46 RNCS). In her early career in the private sector, she was a Software Engineer for Boeing and TYBRIN Corporation.
She earned her Master of Science in Management and B.S. in Computer Information Science, both from Troy University.
